Vietnam - Hanoi Trip -Day 1 - Dinner
PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU RE POST MY PHOTOS ON TO YOUR BLOG. THERE ARE SOME BLOGGERS WHO DID NOT ASK MY PERMISSION AND REPOST MY PHOTOS WITHOUT THE COURTESY OF LINKING BACK TO MY BLOG. THIS IS LIKE STEALING. PEOPLE, I HAVE SPEND MUCH TIME TAKING PHOTOS AND DOING HOMEWORK ON MY TRAVELLING INFORMATION AND KINDLY SHARE THESE INFORMATION TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THEM. IF NECESSARY I WILL POST SCREEN SHOT OF YOUR BLOG TO SHOW YOUR BAD MANNERS OF STEALING MY PHOTOS. THE MOST DISGUSTING THING THEY DID WAS TO SCREEN SHOT MY PHOTO AND CORP OFF MY BLOG TITLE FROM MY PHOTO AND REPOST THEM IN THEIR BLOG.
After resting in the cozy hotel, we decided to head to Hoan Kiem Lake which is about less than 5 mins away from the hotel (see below map).
Right infront of Meracus Hotel is Hang Dau Street also known as Shoe Street. The whole street sells mainly shoes. You have to bargain real hard to get a good deal.
Just beside and north of Hoan Kiem Lake is where the action is. There's a building where KFC fast food restaurant is located and most called this building KFC building. Over the next few days, we would be coming here a lot.
We decided to have dinner at Hanoi Soul Cafe in a building beside the KFC Building and above the tourist information centre marked "i" in green in the below map.
Of course our first meal must be the famous and signature dish of Vietnam, Beef Pho. Pho is vietnamese noodle served with soup and topped with beef and bean sprouts.
Another signature dish of Vietnam is this dish called Bun Cha. Bun Cha is a dish with noodles and meat patties. The service crew taught us how to eat this dish. We had to dip the noodles, salad and meat patties into the sauce made from fish sauce, etc.
We also had some deep fried vietnamese spring rolls.
The vietnamese red chillies are really spicy.
To end the dinner, hubby had vietnamese coffee.
The above map was from the information centre which I collected earlier. I used my camera to take a photo shot of the map so I hope is useful to those who are heading to hanoi for a vacation.
Hanoi is a fantastic place, so much better than I expected and easy to move around. So make Hanoi your next travelling destiantion.
A short video of the surrounding from the Hanoi Soul Cafe.
