Vietnam - Hanoi Trip Day 3 - Visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda
PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU RE POST MY PHOTOS ON TO YOUR BLOG. THERE ARE SOME BLOGGERS WHO DID NOT ASK MY PERMISSION AND REPOST MY PHOTOS WITHOUT THE COURTESY OF LINKING BACK TO MY BLOG. THIS IS LIKE STEALING. PEOPLE, I HAVE SPEND MUCH TIME TAKING PHOTOS AND DOING HOMEWORK ON MY TRAVELLING INFORMATION AND KINDLY SHARE THESE INFORMATION TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THEM. IF NECESSARY I WILL POST SCREEN SHOT OF YOUR BLOG TO SHOW YOUR BAD MANNERS OF STEALING MY PHOTOS. THE MOST DISGUSTING THING THEY DID WAS TO SCREEN SHOT MY PHOTO AND CORP OFF MY BLOG TITLE FROM MY PHOTO AND REPOST THEM IN THEIR BLOG.
Day three - we decided to do some sightseeing in the city of Hanoi. Upon arrival on day 1, we booked the city tour through our hotel. The city tour cost us US$33 per adult and starts from 8 am to 4 pm. We decided to join a group tour instead of a private tour so as to save costs.
Was surprised our group tour only consists of three of us hubby, my sister and me, think we had a good bargain on this tour, more like a private tour. For private tour, it would costs more. The guide uses local taxi to fetch us around.
Our first stop was Tran Quoc Pagoda in West Lake. The Tran Quoc Pagoda in Hanoi is the oldest pagoda in the city, originally constructed in the sixth century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De, thus giving it an age of 1,400 years. You can read more information about the temple from wikipedia.
In the temple grounds, was a bodhi tree. It was believed that if you prayed and walked round the tree three times, your wishes will come true.
