Seoul and Busan Trip 2013 - Day 1 - Making our way from Busan KTX Station to Hotel ibis Ambassador Busan City Centre

At last after more than two and half hours train ride, we finally reach Busan KTX Train Station. Before exiting the station, we collected some maps and brochures from the tourist information centre located in the station.

Then we just followed the signs and directions to locate the metro subway station.

The metro subway station is not located in the same building as the Busan KTX Train Station, you need to exit the train station and cross over to the opposite to take the subway trains.

The metro subway station is diagonally opposite the Busan KTX Station and behind the green "circled" sculpture and fountains.

The negative thing about the South Korea subway was stairs and more stairs, you need to do a lot of climbing and descending of stairs and the elevators are almost hidden in some corners and most of the time we do not want to waste time hunting for the elevators cause even if we find the elevators we have to walk a long way and then on reaching the top we have to turn back and walk a long way again to exit the station.

So if you have huge luggages can be a nightmare climbing and descending the stairs. One way was to stay hotels near the Busan KTX station but I did not find any hotel that suited to our liking in that area.

You can also store your luggages in the metro subway station for a fee.

Our hotel was Ibis Ambassador Busan City Centre located above Bujeon Station about 7 stations away from Busan Station.

On reaching Bujeon Station, we were so happy to spot the elevator sign means less climbing of stairs, lol. I noticed that majority of the young koreans climb the stairs while elevators are meant for old, disabled and pregnant women. I guess their culture taught them well to respect the elderly, etc.

From the above photo, you can noticed that the famous Seomyeon Station is one Station away from Bujeon Station. Seomyeon is also the most crowded area in Busan. Many youngsters love to shop and dine in Seomyeon. From Bujeon Station you can actually walked over to Seomyeon Station through an underground shopping mall.

From the map, we could see the sign with elevator at EXIT 1, so we exit Bujeon Station through EXIT 1 because of our huge suitcase so we need to take the elevator to street level and from there we need to cross the road to IBIS Hotel.

If you prefer not to cross the road, you can exit from underpass no. 9 and climb the stairs and IBIS Hotel is located just beside the underpass no. 9

Please note the underpass no. 9 right infront of IBIS Hotel is also the entrance to Seomyeon Underground Mall.

NOTE:PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU RE POST MY PHOTOS ON TO YOUR BLOG. THERE ARE SOME BLOGGERS WHO DID NOT ASK MY PERMISSION AND REPOST MY PHOTOS WITHOUT THE COURTESY OF LINKING BACK TO MY BLOG. THIS IS LIKE STEALING. PEOPLE, I HAVE SPEND MUCH TIME TAKING PHOTOS AND DOING HOMEWORK ON MY TRAVELLING INFORMATION AND KINDLY SHARE THESE INFORMATION TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THEM. IF NECESSARY, I WILL POST SCREEN SHOT OF YOUR BLOG TO SHOW YOUR BAD MANNERS OF STEALING MY PHOTOS. THE MOST DISGUSTING THING THEY DID WAS TO SCREEN SHOT MY PHOTOS AND CORP OFF MY BLOG TITLE FROM MY PHOTO AND REPOST THEM IN THEIR BLOG AS THEIR OWN.
