Taiwan Trip 2014 - Day 4 - Shifen

Shifen is always raining, you can see the huge drops of rain in the photo.

The main purpose of going to Shifen for most tourists was to release lanterns to the sky to grant wishes. Another reason was to see the beautiful waterfall but it was closed for some construction so we did not get to visit the waterfall.

Very interesting to walk around the village and taking photos in the middle of the train track but do be careful of oncoming train.

Eating the Ice Cream wrapped in Popiah Skin in the cold weather is really nice (see video below of how the stall owner wrapped the ice cream in popiah skin).

Time to write some wishes on the lantern and releasing to the sky. I think the coloured lantern costs around NT200 while the plain lantern costs NT150.

It was fantastic that the lantern can fly so high, am sure wishes would be granted.

THE MOST DISGUSTING THING THEY DID WAS TO SCREEN SHOT MY PHOTO AND CORP OFF MY BLOG TITLE AND REPOST IN THEIR BLOGS AS THEIR OWN.
