We decided to have a relaxing and shopping trip in Bangkok. Been to Bangkok many times but the last visit was about 10 years ago. So this trip will not be any visit to attractions cause already visited same places few times during previous visits. We managed to get attractive air fare from Singapore Airlines. At least I dont have to worry about the check in luggage weight allowance.
At first, we wanted to include Hua Hin too but was the monsoon period in Thailand, so do not want to be caught in any flooding (October being the wettest month in Hua Hin). Perhaps the next time, I will visit Hua Hin.
As our flight was around 4 pm, meals were served almost immediately when the plane flew up in the sky. The flight journey was around 2 and half hours. I could hardly finished my movie on the inflight entertainment and it was time to prepare for landing. Dont really like the rice with chicken, but love the kaya pandan cake (my favourite).
After clearing custom and collected our luggages, we head out to the airport rail link station which was located at Basement level.
For convenience, we booked our hotel(very newly open hotel) next to Phaya Thai Station. So the train journey was only 30 minutes from the airport to the hotel. The fare was 45 baht per person. View more information from
