Penang Malaysia - Bye Bye Penang
The last day in Penang, we are ready to depart Penang. We took Bus no. 101 to komtar and change to Bus no. 401E to the airport about 45 minutes ride to airport. Everything runs smoothly during our trip to Penang.
We only spend about S$500 on air ticket (Jetstar) and hotel accomodation (Cititel Hotel) for the two of us (i.e. each of us spend around S$250). Food is rather cheap if you dine in their coffee shop/eating houses or hawker centres. Am sure if you google for more information, you can get either 5 star hotels or cheaper hotels or backpack travellers hotels to suit your personal taste. I always opt for four star hotel if possible.
At Penang domestic airport.

Penang Malaysia - Agar Agar Mould
PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU RE POST MY PHOTOS ON TO YOUR BLOG. THERE ARE SOME BLOGGERS WHO DID NOT ASK MY PERMISSION AND REPOST MY PHOTOS WITHOUT THE COURTESY OF LINKING BACK TO MY BLOG. THIS IS LIKE STEALING. PEOPLE, I HAVE SPEND MUCH TIME TAKING PHOTOS AND DOING HOMEWORK ON MY TRAVELLING INFORMATION AND KINDLY SHARE THESE INFORMATION TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THEM. IF NECESSARY I WILL POST SCREEN SHOT OF YOUR BLOG TO SHOW YOUR BAD MANNERS OF STEALING MY PHOTOS.
THE MOST DISGUSTING THING THEY DID WAS TO SCREEN SHOT MY PHOTO AND CORP OFF MY BLOG TITLE FROM MY PHOTO AND REPOST THEM IN THEIR BLOG.
Saw a shop along the street just behind the wet market (Chowrasta), it was selling mostly baking products and moulds. Ask the shopowner for permission to take photo of her shop and she agreed readily.
I was so happy that I found the moon cake agar agar mould in the shop in Penang. I cant find them in Singapore, have been finding for this mould for a long time.

Final part on my posting on the market scene. Saw a very interesting scene. The chicken stall owner wearing a cowboy hat. He sure attracted a lot of customers to his stall.

Very interesting to see the market scene. It looked just like what Singapore markets used to be when I was younger. Love seeing people bargaining the prices. Seems like I am the only one there that morning taking photos of the scene...lol
In Singapore, scene like these are hard to come by, our pork had to be sold in chillers for hygiene purposes since the pig flu that happened many many years ago.

Our last day in Penang, after breakfast we spend the morning walking around the streets behind the wet market near our hotel.
The wet market is Chowrasta where most buses will pass by. Take note of the bus stop infront of the market.
We did not go inside the market cause it was rather wet so we just walked behind the market where the street is full of morning activities of people doing their marketing.
There are many different types of stalls in here selling all types of food and produces.
The stall selling roast meat fascinated me.
The woman was selling bakkwa or what we called them BBQ dried meat.
From where I am standing, the street behind the wet market (Chowrasta), I can see the tall building in the background i.e. Komtar. Actually from the hotel where I stay, I can walked to komtar in about 15 to 20 minutes but if you take bus it is only two bus stop away from the hotel or one bus stop away from the wet market.

Some of the buildings I saw along Jalan Penang near the hotel where I stay.
Am surprised to find the Cantonese District Association in a lane which I think is called Lebuh Chulia. There are a lot of small budget hotels in this lane.

Penang Malaysia-Street Scenes
Some of the street scenes of street hawkers that I came across during my visit to Penang.
You can always purchased from these hawkers and eat at the coffee shop/eating house behind the hawker. Chances are that you will purchase drinks from the coffeeshop/eating house.
