Durians and Mango

Desaru Fruit Farm is so huge that they have so many different types of fruits.

Durian Tree

Yummy - I spotted so many durians in the tree. Durian is the king of fruit. It is delicious to some and I am surprised many do not like the smell. I guess is the same that some do not like the strong smell of cheese....lol

Hahaha...spotted a mango dangling from the tree. It is not fruit season yet so most of the fruits are not ripe.

Jambu Semarang

This is known as Jambu Semarang or Water Apple. They are quite sweet but some can be very very sour.

Best to visit the farm during fruit season i.e. middle of the year where most fruits are ripe.

Desaru - Ostrich Farm

The rooster is very protective of his unborn child....ie. the egg.

Wow this is the first time I saw two roosters fighting. Good thing the keeper decided to calm both of them down...lol

This is so cute, the male ostrich doing his dance to attract the female ostriches. It is quite scary they are all coming towards me and they certainly are taller than me with their long necks...lol

Hope you all enjoyed the three short videos.

Next post will be Desaru Fruit Farm.

Desaru-Ostrich Eggs

Wow, just looked at these ostrich eggs, they are equivalent to about 25 chicken eggs.
The ostrich eggshell is so hard, they need to use a driller to drill a hole into it and empty the contents and the eggshell can be made into a lamp or other accessories.

The chicken just lay an egg, so which comes first, the chicken or the egg...hehehe
To show you how hard the ostrich egg is, look at the video and take note of the child who stand on top of the ostrich egg.

Lunch with Lobster at Desaru

After travelling for about two hours, we finally arrived at the restaurant to have our lunch. Good thing, I ate a very light breakfast...lol. It was only 11.30 am and we are supposed to have our lunch.

The lunch is so yummy and delicious and I love the mini lobster but we could only have half of one lobster each...grrrrrr.

For photos of the lunch, please pop over to my food blog to view the yummy and delicious lobster lunch.

After lunch, we walked over to a bakery shop to get their famous pastries.

Assorted cakes and biscuits.

Desaru is a very small and sleepy town and only comes alive when tourists come visiting to boost the economy especially during the holidays.

Setting out for trip to Desaru

We are supposed to assemble at Golden Mile Complex at 6.15 am and the bus leave for Desaru at 6.30 am sharp, so dont be late. The seatings in the bus are free seating so be early to "chope" good seats and we forever been too polite always end up taking the few back rows...lol.

The journey could be long and boring in the bus so make sure you bring along a music player or some books or games unless you are one of those lucky ones who can sleep like a log in the bus, good for you.

I cant sleep in the bus cause the road is bumpy so I ended up listening to my favourite music from my music player.

After clearing custom at Tuas (2nd link), we reach this coffee shop after twenty minutes to have our breakfast at our own expenses as the tour only covered the tours and lunch and dinner only.
After breakfast, a quick short shopping spree at the local product shop just next to the coffee shop to buy some keropok and snacks.

The keropok comes in many flavours.
Then it is back to the bus to continue our two hours journey to have our lunch. Yes, so please take a not so heavy breakfast cause lunch is coming up soon....lol.

To be continued........

Desaru Fruit Farm - best to visit during fruit season.

Fireflies Viewing by boat - best to wear comfortable shoes and not flip flops cause the steps to the jetty was very steep.

I have yet to sort out the rest of the photos, will post when I got the time. Do return and visit more interesting photos of the tour and some short videos.

1 Day Lobster and Firefly Tour

Oh dear, looked at the typing error of One Day Lobster + "Firefyl" Tour....lol

It is actually a One day Lunch with lobster and firefly tour, we are only viewing firefly not lobster and they spelled fly wrongly, I was wondering what type of fire was that. If it rained the viewing of firely would be cancelled, so I hope it would not rain.

Will tell you more about it when I go for the tour. :)

Fishes at Seafood Restuarant at Yong Peng

This is Yong Peng Rest Stop. We had a rest here before proceeding to Kuala Lumpur.

While trying to pass our little time here, I saw many fishes in the fish pond of the seafood restaurant at Yong Peng.

The fishes are so huge and over this side of the pond are so many fishes. Very interesting.

A short video of the swimming fishes.

Twin Tower, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

This will be my final part posting on my trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I am very impressed with the twin towers. They looked so tall and beautiful.

A close up view of the sky bridge. You could go to the basement where the ticket office was and get free tickets to go up the sky bridge to view the city from the sky bridge. The ticket office opened at 8 am and you need to be early to queue for tickets. We went there around nine plus in the morning and our tickets for the sky bridge viewing was 5.30 pm, it was frustrating as we dont have time to go back at 5.30 pm so we never collect the tickets.

View of the twin tower from the inside of the KLCC shopping mall.

At night the twin towers were lighted up and it looked so beautiful.
For more information of the twin towers in Kuala lumpur, you could view their website.

Suria KLCC Shopping Mall

This is Suria KLCC Shopping Mall. It is the same place where the twin towers was. There are 6 levels of shopping outlets. For more information you could view their website.

From the highest floor, I could view a very beautiful vintage car. Not sure if the car was a prize for lucky draw or was it a display set.

This is the lift lobby. It looked very nice.

The mall looked very beautiful. But I was so tired visiting too many malls in KL...lol

I loved taking photos of street scenes.

This is a photo of a local coffee shop in Bukit Bintang,Kuala Lumpur. Coffee shop are also known as eating house where beside beverages are sold, food are also being sold.

The food all looked so delicious and yummy but I wish they would keep them covered so that houseflies wont attack them before we do...lol. I dont have a strong stomach ...lol. Been in a bad experience in Thailand over uncovered food...lol.
