Day 5 - Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe Trip 2017 - Dotonbori/Namba
After we left Kobe, took the train to Umeda Station and transfer to the subway to Namba Station. Our destination is Dotonbori. This must be the most popular and crowded place in Osaka. Dotombori is famous for picture taking and shopping and eating.
The best place for photo taking must be the dotonbori canal with the running man in the background. My first time visiting Osaka and this place is really exciting. Too much happenings in here to describe. Have to be here personally to get the feel of the exciting atmosphere.
Of course, we have to try the famous Octopus balls (takoyaki).
We had dinner at a ramen shop(Kinryu Ramen Restaurant) near the canal, where we purchased our ramen via a vending machine and each bowl of ramen is from 600 yen onwards. The seating area is Japanese style, we need to sit cross legged to eat our ramen hahaha.

Day 5 - Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe Trip 2017 - Kobe Part 5 - Kobe Harbour
After our satisfying trip to Kobe Chinatown, we made our way back to Daimaru Department Store to enjoy some air conditioning, it was summer heat that kept us off the road. Too hot.
Browsing in the food hall, saw kobe beef selling at very expensive price.
Even the fruits are not cheap. We then made our way back to the city loop bus stop that we alighted earlier, at bus stop no. 15.
Took the city loop bus and head to Kobe Harbour at Bus Stop No. 17. Did not take much photos cause of the very hot summer weather.
Finally, we decided to call it a day and end our Kobe trip and head back to Kobe Sannomiya Station to take the train back to Umeda Station.
Remember to take the limited express train( skip few stations, shorter journey) instead of the local train (stop every train station, take longer time).

Day 5 - Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe Trip 2017 - Kobe Part 4 - Nankinmachi / Kobe Chinatown
Next street to Motomachi Shopping Street is Nankinmachi(Kobe Chinatown).
Nankinmachi is a popular tourist attraction and shopping and dining district. Two main streets run through the district, meeting each other at a small plaza in the center. They are packed with shops, restaurants and food stands that sell popular items such as steamed buns (manju), ramen, tapioca drinks and various other Chinese dishes, many of which have been Japanized to a certain degree. Day 5 - Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe Trip 2017 - Kobe Part 3 - Kobe Motomachi Shopping Street and kobe beef lunch
After touring Kitano, we went back to bus stop no. 10 and board the city loop bus(take note of the time of arrival of bus at the bus stop). Our next stop is Nankinmachi (Chinatown) and Motomachi Shopping Street. We should alight at Bus Stop No. 15. The Bus stop is directly beside Daimaru Department Store.
Crossed over the road from Daimaru Department Store, we can see Motomachi Shopping Street, Chinatown is the next street to Motomachi Shopping Street. First, let me post photos of Motomachi Shopping Street. Just like most shopping street in Japan, is sheltered long shopping street.
Cheap shoes for sale, but take note is not made in Japan.
Saw this nice pastry shop, has a story to the shop. Read from website.
There's a nice cozy restaurant at the basement inside the shop entrance.
When in Kobe, we must eat kobe beef, saw the menu, price and picture looks good.
I had the stew beef with rice, while hubby had the steak. They really tasted so good especially the stew beef, no strong beef smell.
The set comes with salad, bread (very soft and nice bread, served hot) and the main course.

Day 5 - Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe Trip 2017 - Kobe Part 2 - Kitano Jinkan-dori Street
Took the city loop bus at Bus Stop No. 7 (infront of Kobe Sannomiya Station and alight at Bus Stop No. 10, which is Kitano Jinkan Dori Street.
Kitano-cho is a district of Kobe famous for its Western houses. Some of the houses charge an admission fee to see the interior of the houses. I had a great time exploring the street but the weather is killing me, it was so hot.
Had ice cream at this kiosk, tasted so good.
Great place for photography.
Next post will be Kobe Chinatown.
