Japan Trip 2015 - Tokyo - Day 8 - Tokyo Skytree
Our next stop is Tokyo Skytree. It is like a little town in here. I love this place much. The skytree tower is the tallest freestanding broadcasting tower in the world measuring 634 m in height. It has two observation decks on 350 and 450 meters above ground. Inside the tower were lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, etc.
First was to take the train to Oshiage Station where the skytree is located.
The place is really clean and nice place to take a walk along the canal. It was a cloudy day with threathening rain. Really cool weather.
I did not go up the observation tower as I had tinnitus, already felt my ear blocked from the morning visit to the metropolitan tower on the 45th floor hahaha. The ticket does not costs much is about 2000 yen for adult.
What interests me was the many shops and the supermarket sold many fresh and beautiful vegetables, I could spend the whole day here. Surprised the vegetables were not expensive.
There's a bakery that sold very nice bread. They were quickly sold out and replenished by the bakers. They baked on site. We managed to get fresh hot bread and they were very soft.
We headed to the food court for our lunch. There's a water station where you can have free water. They even have table cloth for you to clean the table. After our meal, we need to clear the tray on our own and separate the recyclables.
I had the chinese meal - sweet and sour prawns with egg soup.
Hubby had the burger set with rice.
After lunch, we continued our shopping in here.
After a satisfying trip here, we decided to visit Nakamise Shoppping Street again in Asakusa to get more souvenirs. It was only two stations away.
