As the hotel does not provide breakfast, we had to look for our own breakfast. We wanted some Taiwanese Breakfast, so seek the hotel staff for some recommendations. The hotel staff provided us with a map to show us where to go for Taiwanese Breakfast. Nearby the hotel was Si Hai Dou Jiang which serves nice taiwanese breakfast. It was only about 2 minutes walk from the hotel. (See map below).
Along the way we saw a nice museum, it was Museum of Comtemporary Art. Si Hai Dou Jiang is just next building to this museum.
Did not enter into the museum, as the museum was not open yet and we already have plans for some sightseeing at Jiufen and Shifen.
Staff at Si Hai Dou Jiang were very busy cooking.
They have pictured menu, so ordering the food is easy.
We ordered Hot Soybean Milk, Chinese Omelette, Clay Oven Rolls, Xiao Long Bao, Fried Fritters (Yew Tiao). Total Cost of Breakfast is NT240.
