Phuket Trip 2013 - Parachute

One of the fun activity at Patong Beach must be going up in the Parachute to view the beautiful beach and the sea.

Interesting to note the guide on top of the parachute not wearing any life jacket or safety belt, I guess they are so used to the job and sea.

Phuket Trip 2013 - Patong Beach - Part 1

Was relaxing just strolling along Patong Beach. The current were very strong and will be dangerous if you are not a strong swimmer.

Phuket Trip 2013 - Banzaan Market Patong Part 2

Just outside Banzaan Market, there was a night market which operates after the Banzaan Market closes for the day. There were mostly food stalls which sells mainly thai food.

This stall selling fried insects, take lots of guts to eat them but not for me hahaha.

Phuket Trip 2013 - Banzaan Market Patong Part 1

Banzaan Market offers fresh fruits, seafood, vegetables, etc. Worth visiting the market. The opening Hours are daily from 07:00 – 17:00 and located at Sai Kor Road, right behind the Jungceylon megamall in Patong.

You can choose some seafood like lobsters, crabs, prawns, etc and let the stall holders above the market to cook for you for a fee.

Food stalls above the market, you can purchase cooked food from them or pay a fee to them to cook the food that you purchased from the market below.

Phuket Trip 2013 - Day 4 - Lunch at Novotel Hotel Patong Beach Phuket

Our last day in Phuket, we pampered ourselves with nice lunch at Novotel Hotel at Patong Beach about 5 minutes walk from our Holiday Inn Express Hotel.

Total bill for our lunch is 880.01 baht

Lobsters were cheap in Phuket but we found a good deal at Charm Thai Restaurant in Holiday Inn Resort Patong Beach.

It was a set meal for two which comes less than 1000 baht. It comes with three dishes, rice and ice cream or fruits.

Goong Mang-korn pad med mamoung (Sauteed Lobster meat with cashewnut)

Chuchee Pla (Deep fried fish fillet with mid curry sauce)

Satay ruem (Mixed Satay's with peanut sauce)

We choose ice cream over fruits - vanilla and coconut flavour

Phuket Trip 2013 - Day 2 Dinner

Day 2 - we had dinner at one of the Joe Louis Thai Restaurant in Jungceylon Shopping Mall. We decided to sit in the non air condition section to have a good view of the water show at night.

Phuket Trip 2013 - Day 1 Lunch and Dinner

In Phuket, there were so many such restaurants where the stall holders would approached you with the menu. They were very pushy so if you need to say a firm no and just walk on if you do not wish to patronize their restaurants.

On Day 1 and very hungry we just went to one such restaurant near our hotel but luckily the food were quite satisfactory and prices not cheap but reasonable.

The drink was decorated nicely with orchids.

Very common sight in Phuket is the Thai Pineapple Rice

For Dinner, we had some sandwiches at Au Bon Pain Cafe in Jungceylon Shopping Mall
