Malacca Trip 2018 - Day 2 - Jonker Street

Day 2, after our sumptous morning buffet breakfast at the hotel, we visited Jonker Street. From Hatten Hotel, we used the linkbridge to Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall and exited via the west exit/entrance. From there, we could walked towards Jonker Street.

We could see the transport museum where there's a huge train and plane on display.

And of course the red building that was very outstanding was the Christ Church Melaka.

I had visited Malacca many times long ago, the last was maybe more than 15 years ago. Surprised the river now looked so clean and dont smell.

Once we entered Jonker Street, we could see San Shu Kong, a souvenir shop selling Malaysia local products.

Visisted the Baba & Nonya Heritage Museum , need admission fee of RM16. I joined the english tour. We could not take photos beyond the main area. The visit was interesting.

Please do visit the Peranakan Museum in Singapore, free to take photos around the museum without flash. The museum in Singapore is free admission for Singaporean, permanent residents and children below 6. For others, admission ticket needed. You can view my post on my visit to Singapore Peranakan Museum in here.

Bought a bottle of pineapple tarts at RM22 from the Baba and Nonya Heritage Museum.

Malacca Trip 2018 - Day 1 - Lunch

After checking into our hotel, we headed for our lunch. We headed to Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall via the link bridge from Hatten Hotel.

Found a nice restaurant serving both western and eastern dishes at a good price. It costs us only RM35 for 2 set meals with 2 free drinks. Very worth. Less than S$12.

From Hatten Hotel, there's link bridge, one towards Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall and the other towards Mahkota Parade. So even if there's heavy downpour, no fear of getting drench. Video of link bridge from Hatten Hotel to Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall.

Malacca Trip 2018 - Day 1 - Grassland Bus and Hatten Hotel , Malacca

We booked our coach from Singapore to Malacca with Grassland Travel, we paid extra $5 per way per pax for the coach to drop us at Hatten Hotel, Malacca and pick up from Hatten Hotel on the last day from Malacca to Singapore Sector.

The coach is comfortable and spacious and could be reclined all the way down to the seat behind except if there's people sitting behind you, so need to mind the space before reclining too far back.

We left Golden Mile Beach around 8.10 am and after clearing the immigration was around 9.30 am, we reached Malacca around 1 pm and there's one toilet break.

Hatten Hotel is conveniently located, situated next to two mega malls, Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall and Mahkota Parade. It is a short walk from the hotel to the famous Jongker Street.

We booked the junior suite with pool view, the room is very spacious with two televisions, one television infront of the bed while the other is situated at the sofa area.

The pantry corner, with complimentary mineral water, coffee and tea (make own with flask). There's a 7-11 at the ground level of Hatten Hotel, is very convenient to buy snacks, drinks, etc. They even have a cafe and Tim Ho Wan Dim Sum on the ground level.

Nice view of the pool and city.

My Next Trip - 4 Days 3 Nights Malacca

My next trip will be a short relaxing trip to really destress and relax. My original plan was to visit Hiroshima but recently had a Cancer scare, went though a lot of medical tests and blood tests and ultrasound, etc, luckily it was a false alarm but need to visit the hospital again to monitor my health.

By the time, I completed my medical tests, etc, missed the sakura period and all the cheap promotion. As hubby could take leave around this period only, decided to pop over to Malacca for a short trip.

Will update my travel story soon.
