South Korea Trip 2025 - Day 6 - Namsangol Hanok Village, Ginseng Chicken Soup Lunch

Next we decied to visit Namsangol Hanok Village instead of the more famous Bukchon Hanok Village cause we already visited Bukchon Hanok Village during our last trip few years back. So wanted to visit something different.

Took the subway to Chungmuro Station and exit 3 or 4 to Namsangol Hanok Village. It is actually very near Myeongdong, can actually walked from our L7 Myeondong hotel to Chungmuro Station.

From Exit 3 or Exit 4, we could easily spotted Namsangol Hanok Village , is located in a small alley between exit 3 and 4.

The hanok village is beautiful.

We can have hands on playing with the musical instruments.

The garden in the village is very beautiful too, took a lot of outdoors photos.

Spotted a traditional korean restaurant and had lunch in here.

Can choose to sit on the floor or chairs.

Hubby is not a fan of korean food, he had pork cutlet while I loved the ginseng chicken soup.

After lunch, we walked from Namsangol Hanok Village back to our hotel in Myeongdong, cool weather and slow walk to digest our lunch hahaha. On reaching our hotel, we had teabreak at the A twosome place cafe. Yes, we eat again kekeke.
After tea break, we went to the rooftop of our hotel.

There's originally a foot spa at the rooftop but is not in use anymore, looked so dirty.

From the roof top, we could see Namsan Tower from our hotel.
Suddenly , it was very windy and we quickly left the rooftop.
At night, we two very old folks walked around Myeondong again. My son went to Hongdae with his friends.

Cold weather best time to eat some hot sweet potatoes, our dinner hahaha. We were still very full from our lunch and tea break.

So our dinner was to eat some street food in Myeongdong shopping street.

That's how we two folks spend our Day 6, very relaxing for our 4th time visiting Seoul. This trip we dont even visit any palaces hahaha.

South Korea Trip 2025 - Day 6 - Visit to Namsan Tower and how to go to Namsan Tower from Myeondong Station.

Today, we are going to visit Namsan  Tower. Once we walked out of our hotel (L7 Myeongdong), we turned right and walked towards the end of the road and we could see Shinsegae Shopping Centre.  Turn left  at the junction and we could see Namsan Tower. Walked towards the inclined elevator that will takes us up to Namsan Tower. (It is free to use) The whole walk is likely about 15 minutes walk.

Weather is so cooling and nice to walk after a nice breakfast. We had our breakfast in A twosome place located on the ground floor of our hotel.

Walked towards Shinsegae Department Store after turning right from our hotel.

Walked towards the inclined elevator, mere 5 minutes walk from Shinsegae department junction to the elevator.

Take note of the time when the elevator that can be used and will not operate due to bad weather.

It is a short ride up to the hill.
On reaching the top of the elevator, we could see Namsan Tower.

To go up to Namsan Tower, we need to take the cable car, we bought round trip tickets (two ways) to reach Namsan Tower.
As both of us are above 65 years of age, we bought the senior citizen ticket at 11,500 won per person for round trip. Yes , I am 65 years of age hahaha.

The cable car is only about 5 minutes ride to Namsan Tower.
Once we exit the cable car, we were greeted by this staircase, a short climb up to see the Namsan Tower.
View of Namsan Tower, no cherry blossom in sight.

Lovely place to be in, very serence and calm and not many tourists.

Namsan Tower is famous for the couple lock. People tie the locks to symbolise their love for their loved ones, family, children and etc.

Had a great time in here, time to head back where we came. Took the cable car down and took the inclined elevator down to the street.
