Taipei Trip 019 - Day 3 - Ximenting Night Market

After much rest in our comfortable hotel at Caesar Park Hotel, we went to Ximenting for dinner and shopping. This being my fifth time to Taiwan, I became very lazy with photography. Did not take much photos in Ximenting since I been here few times. As usual it is very crowded with people in Ximenting being very popular. If I ever visit Taiwan again, think I will avoid this place and venture somewhere new haha.

Ah Zhong Mian Xian is so popular in Ximenting especially with tourists. It was so crowded and long queue but the queue moved very fast casue the mian xian were pre cooked, and they just scoop to a bowl. No tables and chairs were provided, we need to stand and eat our mian xian. The owner must be a multi millionaire, just looking at the number of bowls they served.

After a great night in Ximenting, we went back to our lovely hotel and a much needed beauty sleep. Holiday is fun but is so tiring.

Taipei Trip 2019 - Day 3 Mitsui Premium Outlet and Taipei Main Station

Day 3 was set aside for shopping. Today, we decided to visit the newly opened Mitsui Premium outlet. We can take the Airport Express Train from Taipei Main Station.

Take the Airport MRT to station A9 - Linkou. Only commuter trains stop at this station. Passengers riding on express trains can transfer at station A8. The train fare is same for either trains. Read more about the outlet from source.

Once out of the station on street level, make a U turn and walk down all the way the street to the red building. The premium outlet is just next to the red building and a short walk less than 10 minutes.

Most of the shops sold mainly branded stuff but there's a mixture of other affordable shopping to be done.

As it was near Halloween when we were in Taipei, lots of Halloween's decorations in the outlet.

There's many restaurants in the outlet too but the food court has very reasonable priced food too. We had our lunch there at a Japanese stall.

We had ramen and Japanese curry rice.

After shopping, we left and went back to Taipei Main Station and continue our shopping there. We were very familair with Taipei Main Station cause this is the fifth time we been to Taiwan. Did not take much photos at here.

Taipei Trip 2019 - Day 3 - Caesar Park Hotel Banqiao

Day 3, we went to another morning breakfast cafe opposite Cham Cham Hotel. This time we opt for the western breakfast.

After breakfast, we check out of Cham Cham Hotel and left our luggages with the reception and went for our shopping spree. After our shopping spree, we return in the afternoon, collect our luggages and just walked from Cham Cham Hotel to Caesar Park Hotel Banqiao, which is just behind Cham Cham Hotel. There's three hotels in the same vicinity. Cham Cham Hotel, Hilton in the middle and Caesar Park (facing the Banqiao High Speed Rail Station). They are all newly built last year.

I am so glad with this Caesar Park Hotel, is new and clean and facilities are great.

The room is quite spacious and with a long sofa and nice view of the city.

The toilet is amazing and is so big that comes with two sinks. The bathtub is in the middle while the shower is on one side of the cubicle while the toilet is on the other side of the cubicle. Hubby used one side of the sink whicle I can used the other sink on the opposite side.

Two bottles of complimentary mineral water daily and a coffee machine.

The drinks in the mini bar is complimentary for the first day, after that whatever they replenishes are chargeable. There's only two cans of drinks that are in the mini bar. The fruits were bought by ourselves.

The best part of the hotel must be the infinity pool which gives a good view of the city. The pool were shared by hotel guests of Caesar Park Hotel and Hilton Hotel.

There's a gym too which were shared by hotel guests of Caesar Park Hotel and Hilton Hotel.

Location of Caesar Park Hotel Banqiao (Diagonally opposite Banqiao High Speed Rail Station).

Really loved staying in this nice hotel and we stayed there for three nights.

Taipei Trip 2019 Day 2 - Keelung - Zhengbin Fishing Port, Miaokou Night Market and Keelung Harbour

On the way back to Keelung City from Heping Island Park, I took these photos of the colourful buildings from inside the shuttle bus. I did not alight at this stop. For photography buffs, is a good place to take photo of the beautiful and colourful buildings. But do note the bus frequency of Bus No. 99 is one every hour or take the inner bus whichi comes more frequenctly but I do not have the details of the local bus timing.

The location of this place is Zhengbin Fishing Port.

We headed to Miaokou Night Market for late lunch. Although is a night market but is open from noon onwards. The night market is only about one street of activities but nearby were many shops worth exploring. Best place to look for local delicacies but we two old folks dont know how to enjoy food much haha and we cant eat much either.

Saw this stall selling the local glutinous rice, very cheap only TWD30.

We then head to a nearby dessert shop for dessert and snacks.

After a long day, we walked towards the Keelung Train Station from the night market, took us less than 10 minutes walk but along the way we saw the Keelung Harbour. Cruise ship do stop at this harbour. Took some photos and headed to the train station and took the hour long train back to Banqiao, Taipei.
