Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar Trip 2024 - Day 9 - Mijas, Costa Del Sol

 Mijas is one of the most popular areas visited in Andalucia. Famous for the most beautiful "white" villages in Spain, Mijas Pueblo and the coastal area of Mijas Costa. The view at Mijas is breathtaking.

The place is pleasant and amazing, beautiful little town but is not without some incidents. Yes, pickpockets. Two women tried to open the backpack of one our group travel passengers but luckily we walked in a group and they decided not to pickpocket his backpack. Her hands almost reach the zip of the bag. Within few minutes another group member was busy taking photo with her handphone with both hands, suddenly she felt her sling bag infront of her got movements, the same pickpocket woman unzip halfway her bag, but luckily nothing stolen, the pickpocketer placed her fingers on her lips and signal ssshhhh. OMG, our group member was so frightened and quickly run to join her friends.

Lots of little shops along narrow alleys and we did some shopping, of course, bargain needed as they mark up the price of the goods.

Donkeys in Mijas are used as  taxi for tourists. They ride round the town in about 20 minutes for 20 euros.

My sister and I took the donkey ride , we enjoyed very much but the man in charge was walking beside and leading the donkey for 20 minutes, oh dear.
