Vietnam - Hanoi Trip Day 1 - Dongxuan night market

PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU RE POST MY PHOTOS ON TO YOUR BLOG. THERE ARE SOME BLOGGERS WHO DID NOT ASK MY PERMISSION AND REPOST MY PHOTOS WITHOUT THE COURTESY OF LINKING BACK TO MY BLOG. THIS IS LIKE STEALING. PEOPLE, I HAVE SPEND MUCH TIME TAKING PHOTOS AND DOING HOMEWORK ON MY TRAVELLING INFORMATION AND KINDLY SHARE THESE INFORMATION TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THEM. IF NECESSARY I WILL POST SCREEN SHOT OF YOUR BLOG TO SHOW YOUR BAD MANNERS OF STEALING MY PHOTOS. THE MOST DISGUSTING THING THEY DID WAS TO SCREEN SHOT MY PHOTO AND CORP OFF MY BLOG TITLE FROM MY PHOTO AND REPOST THEM IN THEIR BLOG.

After dinner, we went shopping for some souvenirs at Dongxuan night market. The whole street were closed to traffic in the night. The night market stretches from the KFC Building to Dongxuan market. The night market only operates on friday, saturday and sunday evenings so do timed your travel days to coincides with the weekend so as to be able to visit the night market.

Even if you do not shop, is a nice place to take photos and learn about the local lifestyles and cultures.

Oh I love the wind chimes in the shapes of the vietnamese conical hats, so cute.

I bought mostly souvenirs, am still used to shopping for my clothes, shoes, bags, etc back in Singapore.

I enjoyed watching what the hawkers were selling.

It's interesting to note that they can just set up shop by placing some stools, tables along the pavement or corner of streets and sell all kinds of things or food.

Dongxuan market is a wholesalemarket, they only open during the morning and day and closes at night. Will write more about Dongxuan market in later post.

After visiting the night market, we dragged our tired feet back to the hotel, along the way we saw many people still sitting around Hoan Kiem Lake enjoying the night breeze and just chatting away.

The beautiful red bridge in the middle of the lake, leads to Ngoc Son ("Jade Mountain")Temple. WIll tell more when I visit the temple on Day 3.

A short video on the street scene near the KFC Building. The only negative thing about Hanoi was the traffic. The numerous motorbikes on the roads and their constant horning really drove me crazy. If I would be stayed for along time in Hanoi, think I would be going to be deaf lol.
