Ho Chi Minh City - War Museum Part 2

This building reproduces the "tiger cages" in which the South Vietnamese government housed political prisoners.

These are the tiger cages, not used to capture tigers but for prisoners. The cage is so small that the prisoners cannot sit properly and got to stoop.

This is very scary and make me sick just viewing the excution blade. Yikes!

Ho Chi Minh City - War Remnants Museum - Part 1

A must visit to the war museum.

There are huge display of war artefacts.

But the whole museum really lack of air conditioning. It is so hot and stuffy in the museum.

Display of american planes.

Did you spot me in the reflection?

Ho Chi Minh City - Saigon River Dinner Cruise

After walking for so long, we looked forward to our dinner on the ship.

We had suckling pig as part of the dinner. The dinner is nothing fantastic but really enjoyed the performance on the ship.

The girl dancing with rings of fire was so brave and good. Fantastic.
A short video of the performance.

Ho Chi Minh City - City Tour

We went on a city tour and admired all these beautiful old historical buildings.

This the Notre Dame Cathedral in HCM City. It was constructed in the 1800s. There were two bell towers and a statue of Mary. You can get more information about the cathedral from wikipedia.

Just next to the cathedral is the Old Saigon Post Office. In the post office, you can send postcards back home and also change some local currencies. The exchange rate is quite good in here.

Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City - Water Puppet

At last, I am back from Ho Chi Minh City. The weather there was terrible. It was so hot at 37 degrees and really make me sick and tired. Having a very bad sore throat now.

If not for the hot weather, I think I would enjoy more. Most of the time, I cant focus taking good photos because of the heat...lol.

We went to a Vietnamese water puppet show. I enjoy the water puppet the best.

Oh I love this shot of the beautiful vietnamnese girl.

I wondered how they made the puppet move all over the place. Althought I dont understand what they are singing about, I do enjoyed watching the show.

The finale, where the performers came out from behind the curtains.
A short video of water puppet.

The finale video of the performers.

If you wondered what's at the end of the cable line. There's a small mall with many shops in it. But this is one shop that attracted me. It sold all different type of titbits ranging from sweet and sour, like dried dates, plums, dried mangoes, sweets, etc.

Genting Highlands Malaysia - View of cable cars from restaurant

I took these photos from the restaurant. The restaurant dont even need any air conditioning. They just open the window for the natural coolness of Genting Highlands. This is so refreshing.
Look at how the cable cars are trapped in the mist. I was in the cable car earlier that was trapped in the mist too. The experience though scary, was very interesting.

A short video showing the cable cars.

Genting Highlands Malaysia - Cable Car

We decided to take the Genting Skyway to view the tropical forest of the mountain.

A short video showing us taking the cable out of the station.

Taking the cable car out of the station. OMG, it is so frightening. Going down the mountain is scarier than going back up the mountain. I actually close my eyes when the cable car comes out of the station. Glad that hubby is beside me.

It is Asia's longest and fastest cable car. I think the whole journey is about 20minutes and it is about half the mountain down.

Taking the cable car back up the mountain. It was almost noon time and the mist is coming in and we cant see much around us. It is very interesting and a little bit scary to be caught in the mist.

At last back to the mountain resort.
