Hong Kong/Zhuhai/Macau Trip 2012 -Day 2 -Big Buddha (Tian Tian Buddha)

PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU RE POST MY PHOTOS ON TO YOUR BLOG. THERE ARE SOME BLOGGERS WHO DID NOT ASK MY PERMISSION AND REPOST MY PHOTOS WITHOUT THE COURTESY OF LINKING BACK TO MY BLOG. THIS IS LIKE STEALING. PEOPLE, I HAVE SPEND MUCH TIME TAKING PHOTOS AND DOING HOMEWORK ON MY TRAVELLING INFORMATION AND KINDLY SHARE THESE INFORMATION TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THEM. IF NECESSARY I WILL POST SCREEN SHOT OF YOUR BLOG TO SHOW YOUR BAD MANNERS OF STEALING MY PHOTOS. THE MOST DISGUSTING THING THEY DID WAS TO SCREEN SHOT MY PHOTO AND CORP OFF MY BLOG TITLE AND REPOST IN THEIR BLOG.

Tian Tian Buddha also known as The Big Buddha in Hong Kong is popular with tourists. The Big Buddha is about 34 metres tall.

Visitors had to clim 240 steps to view the buddha.

There's also twelve statues of God Warriors in the park.

What attracted me to the bowl of tau huay or tau hu fa or bean curd was the claim that spring water was used to make them. Was bit too bland for me, guess it might be the spring water or am used to the sweet syrup used in tau huay back home.

After touring Nong Ping, we decided not to take the cable car but would like to try taking the bus ride down to Tung Chung and City gate shopping mall. Easy to find the bus terminal which is located just behind those rows of shops and a big sign directing us to the bus terminal. Fares are not same for weekdays and weekends/public holidays.

The bus ride was only 30 minutes and the view down the hill was splendid. Saw a lake that looked so beautiful.
