These three statues of women represent women in China. How the dresses changes from generation to generation. From traditional clothings covered most part of the body to cheongsum to modern dressing covering lesser part of the body.
Because of the colonial past on this island, there are many statues which shows western influence.

Are these statues put up recently?
They looks more western than chinese.
Can read the history of Shamian Island. Shamian Island was temporary occupied by western forces during the Qing Dyansty.

The statues were there to show about the colonial past link to the island. Not sure when they erected.
so amazing to see those statues. this side of china i should see in the future. this time... ill go for beijing.
