Cambodia Trip 2009 - Phnom Penh International Airport

My trip to Cambodia was so fun and happy. The first day, I had to wake up at 3.30 am and reach the airport around 4 plus am for my 6.30 am flight.

We took the budget air cause it is so cheap and it is only one hour and 50 mins away from Singapore. It costs me $190 (including airport tax , surcharge and travel insurance) but as we opt for the light saver, we could not check in any baggage and allowed only one hand carry bag not more than 10 kg.

I dont shop much anyway and was there mainly for a wedding of a relative. I will go to Cambodia again to visit Angkor Wat (did not have time to visit during this trip, spend most of the time at the wedding).

Phnom Penh International Airport

The airport is very small but clean and neat.

Once outside the airport, you can find taxis and tuk tuk cars. The tuk tuk car is actually a motorcycle with a cabin attached to the rear and can seat four passengers.
The tuk tuk car is cheaper than the taxi and remember to bargain for the fare. It is only 20 minutes from the airport to the city. Our relatives came to fetch us at the airport so most of the time, we travelled in a van to tour round the city and to travel from our hotel to our relative's house.

A short video of the city taken from the Van on the way from the airport to our relative's house.
More photos coming up..............
