Day 4 - Chongqing, China Trip 2026 - Furong Cave Part 1 - my fall in Furong Cave

Day 4 - visit to Furong Cave

Furong Cave is a national geological park in China. Its huge body, rich cave sediments not only conquered the world cave experts, also welcomed by many visitors. More than 70 kinds of secondary chemical sediment to make this rich landscape, which is majestic, exquisitely carved and luxuriant .

First, we need to take the cable car up to Furong Cave

Took many photos in here.
The entrance to Furong Cave. OMG, I fall inside the entrance of Furong Cave. It was dark and I tripped over a step. I thought the entrance was a big piece of flat ground but no lights or reflective strip to  indicate steps. I bleed badly at the wrist, some abrasions on the other arm and knees too.

The china guide took me to the First Aid Room to stop the bleeding. Thank goodness. Cannot imagine if I fall in the middle of the cave, definitely will have broken bones cause inside the steps are more steep and dark too. Need flashlight although inside are lighted at the steps.
After the trip, inside the cable car , I examined my painful arms.

The best thing of this unfortunate fall, I had purchased pre illness travel insurance from NTUC Income. Once I returned to Singapore, I went to see a doctor to make sure there's no infection on my abrasions.

I submitted my medical claim and my original receipt of my broken spectacles that I broke during my fall in Furong Cave. The spectacles was around 3 years old. So suprisingly NTUC Income approved my claim on my medical expenses and my spectacles cost (depreciation 50%). I am so happy. I did not know that I could claim for my broken spectacles till my brother in law informed me.
It was a bad fall that my spectacles frame was bended and lens dropped out (Sobs)

So imagine the rest of my trip I was blind as bat from Day 5 to Day 9 without my spectacles hahaha. Although I had my sunglasses, the only hot weather was in Changshou Lake in Day 4, the rest will cloudy or raining kekeke.
