Rows of ginseng plants.
This part of the farm is not suitable to grow ginseng so the farmer grows wheat instead.
Very interesting how they plant the Ginseng. I have never seen it so am wondering what it looks like when it is grown
I'm enjoying your vacation very much. The entries about food are particulary interesting. Everything looks so very colorful.
It's funny, here in Wisconsin lots of farmers grow ginseng. On the way up north, you can see acres of those dark shades over the plants.
I read that it is a fairly profitable business.
Yes, ginseng is expensive but in South Korea, ginseng were controlled by the government and so the farmers cannot quote too high the prices. Visitors are not allowed to bring many ginseng out of Korea too. There were a limit to how many one can purchase.
