Seoul and Busan Trip 2013 - Day 2 -Haeundae Beach

To return to Haeundae Beach from Haedong Yonggung Temple, we need to walk out to the main road again and cross over to the opposite side to take bus 181 back to where we originally board the bus.

There's only one bus servicing this area and we were lucky not to have to wait too long for Bus 181 to arrive.

The bus stop to reach Haeundae Beach is between Exit 2 and 4, we need to cross the road and walk all the way straight to the beach as per the map above.

Haeundae Beach is the most famous beach in the country. "Haeundae" was so named by scholar Choi Chi-Won of the Silla Dynasty. When he was walking past Dongbaekdo Island, he was fascinated by it and left the carved words "Hae Un Dae" on a stone wall on the island. You can read more from the official website of Visit Korea.

The beach is really clean and beautiful and have great waves.

Lots of hotels along the beach.

Spotted this smoke lounge at the beach, I guess they dont allow people to smoke along the beach for a clean environment.
