Day 1 - Nanjing/Hangzhou Trip 2017 - Night at Xinjiekou

Xinjiekou is like our Orchard Road in Singapore, lots of shopping malls. As we were there during the three day public holiday of Qing Ming Festival (tomb sweeping day), difficult to find seats in restaurants, queue numbers were insane, it was really "people mountain people sea" 人山人海(meaning very crowded).

Chanced upon this clean looking chinese cafe(opposite our hotel facing the hotel lobby) selling economical rice. It was really cheap, as it was nearly closing time, not much variety of dishes to choose from. It was really cheap and reasonable less than S$8 for two of us.

After dinner, we walked around the area, saw Walmart (directly opposite our hotel), Walmart is a big hypermart.

Hahaha saw huge durians in the supermart, but they dont have the nice durian aroma.

Finally, we two old folks were rather tired and sleepy, we decided to head back to hotel and rest and sleep to get ready for the next day sightseeing.
