Day 2 - Nanjing/Hangzhou Trip 2017 - Confucius Temple Pedestrian Street
The Confucius Temple in Nanjing was a place to worship and consecrate Confucius, a great philosopher and educator of ancient China.
Around the temple, there's many shops , restaurants, etc. Next to the temple is the Confucius or Fuzimiao Pedestrian Shopping Street.
By bus: take no. 1 or 31 and get off at Fuzimiao.
By subway: catch line 1 to Sanshanjie, or take line 3 to Fuzimiao directly.
We took line 3 to Fuzimiao and exit at EXIT 2 and walked towards the temple. If unsure where the temple is, just ask around, is just less than 1 minute walk from the station.
Nice place to look around and shop, the food looked so attractive and delicious but sadly some of the food are quite salty and bland.
Nanjing is famous for its salted duck. Nanjing Salted Duck is a local duck dish from Nanjing, China. The history of the dish goes back hundreds of years, perhaps to the 14th century, but it grew more famous under the Qing Dynasty.
We just had to order and luckily the taste is fine with us but the noodle we ordered was so salty that we did not finished the noodle.
